DYC HVAC Info and SOP
17 May 2020
Overview
The previous DYC plan was to keep the pipes from freezing and the 2nd deck at a temp that did not take too long to change to a usable temp.
The current plan is to keep the spaces suitable for use at any time. This was precipitated by the need to air condition the locker room such that the ice machine could function. The actual numbers may change as we gain experience.
There are 5 separate rooms all handled by separate units:
- The 2nd deck is handled by a window HVAC unit.
- The locker room is handled by a mini-split unit and is controlled by a remote kept in the safe(to prevent tampering).
- The heads are handled by window HVAC units.
- The head hallway is heated by a wall heater that plugs in. Just plug it in during winter and set to mark on thermostat. Remove plug in summer.
Note- Old wall heaters in Heads and Locker room are being kept for emergency use. Breakers for them are off. On the second deck, there is a portable radiator type heater that can be used in an emergency.
