Rendezvous: 11:00 at the mouth of Machodoc Creek or Buoy P if down river boats are entered. Notice of the Rendezvous location will be provided to entrants 24 hours prior to the race.
Start: ~11:30
Course: A circumnavigation of the Dahlgren Racing marks. All marks left to Port
Machodoc Creek Start - Junction Mark, Back Channel Nun “2”, yellow Nun “S”, yellow Nun “P” (Alternate Start), MoA “D”,G29, Nun “32”, Finish Machodoc Creek Junction Mark. -
For a start at P continue the circle to Back Channel 2, S then finish at P.
Flag “R” will be a reverse of the above: all marks left to Starboard.
Variations of these courses may be used depending on weather...…
All boats must watch for a committee boat near the marks as the course may be shortened. Details on Mark locations can be found under the PHRF heading of the DYC Web site Racing Info
Monitor VHF channel 68 for race instructions.
Time limit: All boats not finished by 16:30 EDT will be scored “TLE”
Scoring: Time-On-Time PHRF – Low point scoring
Classes and Starting Sequence: There will be Spinnaker and non Spinnaker Classes. Both classes will start together. See General Sailing Instructions for details of the flags used for the start sequence.
Eligibility: Open to all, participants must fill out an application form. Provide your PHRF rating. If you do not have a PHRF rating, DYC will assign a rating for the race.

Fee: NONE.
Check in with Committee before the starting sequence begins.
Post Race Activities Chili Cookoff DYC Skippers are requested to bring a pot of their favorite chili or other fixings to the DYC clubhouse prior to the race. DYC will provide water, soft drinks and Salad.
Non DYC members are invited and can dock at the end of the pier. Due to security regulations those without a military ID must remain in the DYC Clubhouse area, or be escorted.
Awards will be given out at the post race party.
